Where is the best fishing in Westchester county ny?
Hi. I am am a Westchester county ny resident and I would love to do more fishing close to home. What are some good places to fish in or around Westchester? I dont have a boat or anything so I am mostly looking for places where I can fish from shore. Also, I would ideally like to eat what I catch. Thanks a lot for your help.
closer than 60-70 miles from NY you can catch only 2-3 inches panfish i go Hopathcong NJ lake fishing best spot , rent boats ,Hopathcong state park 10$ , license 34 $ and for trout you need a separate stamp 22$ more (nonresident price) try Long Island Heampstead state park , Masapiqua lake . Far you go – better fishing , my friends go 2-3 hours mostly to get good fishing.
